London Grand Prix

Written by : admin

I was quite surprised to hear today of the plan to hold a London Grand Prix. Bernie Ecclestone will be unveiling plans tonight for a circuit that would be for 3.2 miles starting outside Buckingham Palace and taking in such historic landmarks as Nelson“s Column and Piccadilly Circus. It has also been reported that Hamilton and Button have both been involved in the design of the route.

What do I think, well as good as I am sure this would be for London, I am starting to feel that there are too many street circuits and lets face it Monaco is the ultimate and very hard to beat.

Valencia street circuit has multiple complaints from drivers that is is impossible to overtake because it is a street circuit giving it the title of one of the most boring races of the season, although not this year.

On a less serious note taking one of the most congested cities in the world for traffic and shutting it down for two days could be seen as a little daft, unless you are charging the drivers the congestion charge?

What do you think?
